The Global Angels ‘Feed A Child’ Campaign
Through our ‘Feed A Child’ campaign we aim to feed one million children each year in Africa, Asia and Latin America in our school feeding program.
The statistics are sobering. Over 6 million children under five die of malnutrition and hunger-related diseases every year in developing countries.
Education is sacrificed for families living in extreme poverty whose natural option is to see their children as part of the family workforce. Where school feeding is available, education becomes a welcome alternative to families and part of a sustainable solution for the long term transformation of whole communities.
Whatever the circumstances – HIV/Aids orphans, victims of war and conflict, street children or child slaves – there are millions of children who need access to regular nutritional food to survive and thrive.
Members of The Global Angels International Advisory Board have researched, visited and chosen many dynamic projects that are making a very real difference in the lives of hundreds of thousands of children in serious need in many countries including Rwanda, Sudan, South Africa, Mozambique, Angola, Malawi, Kenya, Costa Rica, Cambodia and India.
We have partnered with many excellent projects that work to provide food and education simultaneously to thousands of young children, offering not just survival but hope for the future. Most of the projects make use of school gardens where the children learn how to cultivate their own food, to supplement the school diet with fresh fruit and vegetables.
For just £50/$80 a year, we are able to feed a child 60% of their daily food requirement every school day for a year, through our school feeding or emergency feeding programs.
Our Global Angels Promise means that 100% of the donation we receive from you goes directly to sponsor a child in one of our feeding projects! All the funds are used directly to provide food, any surplus goes to feed further children.
