My Event
Our friends and supporters at Global Angels have given us yet another gift; the facility for people to donate online through this page. For those of you who don't know, Nema is a UK-registered charity running projects in a very poor area of northern Mozambique. In fact, the area is so poor that 1 in 3 children are not expected to live until their 5th birthday. Nema is working with 12 communities with a population of over 15,000 people, including Guludo village, to help them eliminate poverty, suffering and devastation to the natural resources they rely so heavily upon. We are working in the following areas; The provision of clean water Health; fighting against malaria, malnutrition, water-borne diseases, HIV and mother and infant care Education; nutritious school meals, building primary schools, providing scholarships Enterprise; supporting local craft groups and farmers to increase productivity Conservation; more sustainable use of natural resources Thank you to everyone at Global Angels for your wonderful support and everyone who has so kindly donated to Nema.
