At present, only 31 percent of the rural population of Cambodia has access to safe water. Villagers depend largely on unprotected wells, ponds or rivers as their main sources of drinking water, while tap water in the cities is undrinkable and polluted.

The supply of sustainable, safe and clean drinking water for deprived communities in Southern Africa has remained the focus of Joint Aid Management drilling. Water related diseases claim the lives of one child every 8 seconds. JAM drilling continues to fight this through its water provision programmes in South Africa, Southern Sudan and Mozambique.
