STEP UP... Help us prevent trafficking and rescue children and young people in Asia. Donate here... |
- Between 12.3 to 27 million people are trapped in slavery
- 8.4 million children work as slave labourers, prostitutes or soldiers worldwide
- 80% of those trafficked are women and nearly 50% are children
We are working with our project partners to rescue and rehabilitate children and young people who have been forced into prostitution or slave labour.
Together, we provide rescue, safe homes, rehabilitation and long term support to victims of trafficking across India, Burma, Bangladesh, Cambodia, Pakistan and Nepal. We also focus on the prevention of trafficking and work to expose and prosecute the perpetrators through government leaders and law-makers. Police and social services are trained, raising the bar on government support of these young people to give them the best chance of success. Local charity partners in each area take on the long term aftercare of each person rescued.
The need is so great, but by working together we are able to achieve powerful results and are beginning to see things turned around.
